In 2019, a pair of hand-painted wings appeared on a downtown wall at Broadway and Erwin—and quickly became one of the most photographed spots in Tyler. Created by local artists Cassie Edmonds and Dace Kidd, the Wings of Tyler mural was designed to celebrate creativity, invite interaction, and give the community something uniquely its own.

Heart of Tyler was proud to be one of the project’s early supporters, helping bring the idea to life through private sponsorship.

Today, the mural still draws locals and visitors alike. Whether it’s a quick selfie, a senior portrait, or just a moment of inspiration on the sidewalk, Wings of Tyler is part of the downtown experience.
